Start by marking Walt Disney's Alice in Wonderland as Want to Read: Want to Read savin. ant to Read. Mary Blair's vibrant art helped shape the look of Walt Disney's classic animated film. Collected in a picture book for the first time, her illustrat The fantastical tale of a young girl chasing her White Rabbit has delighted children since Lewis Carroll wrote it generations ago. Here his Wonderland shines anew, viewed through the looking glasses of two incomparable artists. However, if you are looking for the actual story of Alice in Wonderland/Alice through the Looking Glass you will be sorely disappointed. This is a highly abridged version of the Disney movie as Mary Blair was a staff artist for Disney and created the concept art for the film. I think it is worth noting that she also created the concept art for Peter Pan, Cinderella, and Song of the South.
Rabbit Hole sequences from Alice in Wonderland and Alice and the White Rabbit As an example of how the Storybook Album differed from the three single records, you can hear variations in script, character and music. Alice’s sister appears only on the single, and for some reason, Kathryn Beaumont pronounces the word says differently on each of the versions.

Alice's Adventures in Wonderland (commonly shortened to Alice in Wonderland) is an 1865 novel written by English author Charles Lutwidge Dodgson under the pseudonym Lewis Carroll. It tells of a young girl named Alice falling through a rabbit hole into a fantasy world populated by peculiar, anthropomorphic creatures. The tale plays with logic, giving the story lasting popularity with adults as well as with children. It is considered to be one of the best examples of the literary nonsense genre
The much-heralded 1951 release of Walt Disney’s Alice in Wonderland became a collector’s bonanza that includes these RCA Victor records that were the closest thing to experiencing the movie in the decades before home video. What was neat about having this album during the baby boom era was that it was the only one with so many of the original cast members of Alice in Wonderland. Disneyland Records released the superb (but non-soundtrack) Camarata/Darlene Gillespie LP in 1957, but it wasn’t until 1988 that the full score from the soundtrack was released on CD (Thank you, Randy Thornton!).
Based on Walt Disney's animated classic, this vintage Little Golden Book from 1951 retells the story of Alice’s wild adventures in Wonderland.
