On the unrelenting Erotic Neurotic and Nights in Venice, Chris Bailey’s snarled vocals drip with alienation and Ed Kuepper creates a buzzsaw blur on guitar. They even inject a dose of bruised blues-rock on Story of Love and Messin’ with the Kid. (I'm) Stranded The Saints.
