Album Time Stood Still. Dim Lights, Thick Smoke (And Loud, Loud Music) Lyrics. Dim lights, thick smoke and loud, loud music Is the only kind of life you'll ever understand Dim lights, thick smoke and loud, loud music You'll never make a wife to a home loving man. A home and little children mean nothing to you A house filled with love and a husband so true You'd rather have a drink with the first guy you meet The only home you know is that bar down the street. Dim lights, thick smoke and loud, loud music Is the only kind of life you'll ever understand Dim lights, thick smoke.

Specifically, as the album notes report, . .t brings together for the first time on one record all the Burritos' material that features Gram Parsons and that wasn't on those first two LP. The songs are for the most part covers of country music standards presented as demos or working versions that probably never would have been released if it were not for Parsons' death. Parsons, of course, is the reason the Burritos continue to interest fans, and he sings well here, but this half-finished material does not compare to the first two albums.
