Sonically, Every Open Eye develops CHVRCHES signature style, juxtaposing the light and the dark, creating their own brand of twisted pop music that uniquely merges the organic with the electronic, molding sounds and ideas forged over two years on the road into an electronic-pop record with a heart. Lyrically, Every Open Eye is not a break up album. It is a record about past heartbreaks and getting over them ( Leave A Trace ). About perspective and the benefit of hindsight  . Despite that I feel the "Every Open Eye" album has a softer feel on its musical side, it definitely doesn't start that way. "Never Ending Circles" gets right in the listeners face. The keyboards bell out at the start, yet quiet themselves perfectly to let Lauren take center.

Rather than an unhinged jaw, Every Open Eye glints like a freshly whitened smile. The sweetly menacing jabs hidden on Bones, like Lauren Mayberry’s warning that you had better run from me with everything you own from Gun, are absent here. This is not an album that poses any danger; instead, the lyrics tend to scan like breakup song Mad Libs. We bide our time/ Stay afloat/ Keeping the sun up off our bones, Mayberry sings on Keep You On My Side, reaching again for bones as symbols but diluting the metaphor with sun and water until the image blurs. Read – CHVRCHES: All Eyes on You). Even at its most revealing and tender, Every Open Eye feels guarded. Afterglow winds things down as the album’s final track and only downtempo moment. CHVRCHES’ nonstop synths break away from tapping out beats to provide a little atmosphere, and Mayberry stretches out her syllables to a pleasant yawn.

Chvrches have announced new album Every Open Eye, the follow-up to 2013's The Bones of What You Believe. The album was recorded at their Alucard Studios in Glasgow, and according to a listing on the Australian retailer Sanity, it's out September 25 via Universal. Submitted By Anachronistic. Track list: Added Jul 16, 2015  . Because the album was written over such a long period of time, it’s about the goods and the bads, the beginnings and ends. Personally, I’m in a good place right now, but there’s definitely anti-love songs on there as well. Leave a Trace is the middle finger mic-drop. It’s about that point where you’re like, There’s no point having this conversation anyways: There will be no resolve, I won’t feel better about it, you won’t feel better about it, no outcome from this will actually change my reality.

Chvrches’ second album doubles down on the stadium-friendly synth-pop formula that bought them international success. Three strident synth-pop bangers open the second Chvrches album and lay bare the Scottish trio’s intent: here they are doubling down on the formula that got them where they are today. It’s an assured follow-up to their US-conquering debut, The Bones of What You Believe, picking out its predecessor’s stadium-pop moments and turning up the intensity without ever overselling its charm. There’s an appealing combination of steely survival and breathless optimism throughout – Make Them Gold and Clearest Blue look towards a better future, with the latter updating Depeche Mode’s Just Can’t Get Enough.

While Every Open Eye has a more restrained pop structure that comes from experience as a production team, it still contains the earnestness of the band's beginnings. At first blush, the album comes across as more upbeat and optimistic, but listen closely, and you hear the darker lyrics of Lauren Mayberry as she and the band reflect on their international success. Mayberry's strong voice off stage shines through on the album as she pours emotion into songs like "Keep You On My Side" and "Playing Dead
