A Split-Second is a Belgian electronic body music band. The project was born in 1985 as a solo project of Marc Heyndrickx (under the name Marc Ickx), who self-released the demo-tape "Stained Impressions" with Peter Bonne (later re-named Chrismar Chayell) producing. Bonne at that time was releasing music as Twilight Ritual together with vocalist Geert Coppens.
Flesh & Fire (1991 Remixes) (Cass, Album). The album closes with the second version of "Cold War In The Brainbox" - this one being subtitled "Cut Up"!!! It has some reverse effects and some odd effects. The mix is rather different - quite hard and cold, despite the witty slices of voice which bob up now and again. As you might expect from ANTLER-SUBWAY, a damn good Electronic Body Dance album, with one or two unusual surprises - the two non-beat tracks seem to break the mould, but give the album an extra edge and a couple more house points. A Split - Second – Flesh. As stated above, the song 'Flesh' had a big influence on the Belgian dance scene, but only when it was discovered by a DJ that it plays better at 33rpm + 2% (or so) instead of the original 45 rpm. This started the shortlived "not faster than 120 bpm, manneke!" dance scene "New Beat". Reply See 1 reply Notify me 6 Helpful.
A Split Second is simply too good to be ignored, and from their conception in 1985 it didn't take the world long to acknowledge the importance of Marc ICKX's and Chrismar CHAYELL's unique musical vision.

Flesh (1991 dub) Lyrics. A Split-Second - Flesh (1991 dub) Lyrics. Artist: A Split-Second. Heyo! SONGLYRICS just got interactive. You know you made me cry I see no use in wondering why I cry for you And now you've changed your mind I see no reason to change mine I cry, it's through, oh You're giving me the same old line I'm wondering why You hurt me then, you're back again No, no, no, not a second
This song is by A Split-Second and appears on the album Ballistic Statues (1987). This is when your fleshCrimson and paleWithers behind the blackened veilThe vacant flesh. A petrifying look, the choice is easyThe outcome always the sameThe shortest way to cardiac arrest. The flesh that dreams are made of doesn't lastThis when you turn to sanctimonius ritualsThe duty of the beast.
