I Should Have Known Better was issued as the B-side of the . single A Hard Day’s Night released July 13, 1964. An orchestrated version of the song conducted by George Martin appears on the North American version of the album, A Hard Day’s Night Original Motion Picture Soundtrack. As part of the movie contract, United Artists acquired album rights for the American market. They released a soundtrack album on 26 June 1964 with eight Beatles songs and four instrumentals. I Should Have Known Better was performed in the film, and it appears on the soundtrack.

The Beatles began recording I Should Have Known Better on 25 February 1964, a day which also saw them record Lennon's You Can't Do That and McCartney's ballad And I Love Her. That day the group recorded three takes of I Should Have Known Better. At this stage the song was quite different to the final version, containing a Dylanesque harmonica solo and ending on a lead guitar line. Only one of the three takes was complete; the second attempt was a false start which ended when Lennon collapsed into hysterics over his harmonica playing. In the UK, I Should Have Known Better was the second song on the A Hard Day's Night album, which was released on 10 July 1964.

If I Fell" was a part of the Beatles repertoire during their US and Canadian tour in 1964. The group typically performed the song faster than the studio version, and Lennon and McCartney often sang it with barely suppressed laughter  . I Should Have Known Better". I'm Happy Just to Dance with You".

I Should Have Known Better (оригинал The Beatles). Мне следовало бы познакомиться поближе (перевод Lisa). I should have known better with a girl like you. Мне следовало бы познакомиться поближе с такой девушкой, как ты, That I would love everything that you do.

I should have known better with a girl like you That I would love everything that you do And I do, hey, hey, hey, and I do. Whoa, whoa, I never realized what a kiss could be This could only happen to me Can't you see, can't you see. That when I tell you that I love you, oh You're gonna say you love me too, hoo, hoo, hoo, hoo, oh And when I ask you to be mine You're gonna say you love me too. So, oh, I should have realized a lot of things before If this is love you've got to give me more Give me more, hey hey hey, give me more  . Compartir 'I Should Have Known Better'.
