Pratt returned to Jamaica in 1965, and as a singer, he recorded a song called "Safe Travel" but it was not released at the time. to Ken Lack's label Caltone and recorded a few tunes there. During the rocksteady period, he recorded singers such as Ken Boothe, John Holt and Pat Kelly, backed by session men such as Lynn Taitt, his productions appearing on the Caltone, Wiggle Spoon and WIRL labels before he launched his own label, Jon To. .He moved to London by the beginning of the 1980s and opened a restaurant there.

While not the album of the same name Boothe cut for Trojan in 1974, this compilation does include songs from that release, along with many other standout tracks spanning the singer's rocksteady and early-reggae prime. Often likened to Wilson Pickett, Boothe, with his similarly gruff soul delivery, is in top form throughout the 26 tracks here. In addition to hits from his fruitful stay with producer Lloyd Charmers - including "Crying Over You," "Rasta Never Fail," and the .

Eight vocal cuts - a pair from Ken Boothe, a trio from the underappreciated Al Campbell, and one each from the Heptones, Pat Kelly, and Dennis Brown; four DJ versions - three from Big Youth and two from Dillinger (the second part of a "Discomix" number); and a clutch of accompanying instrumentals and dubs comprise this sumptuous set. Boothe kicks off the album in style with his superb "I'm Not for Sale"; his "Who Gets Your Love," later in the set, is an equal stunner
